Yes, that’s is right, we have officially finished Seasons Studio! Over the past two months we have transformed this room from its original state to a multi-functioning studio where we run a variety of classes including: tummy time, interactive play, yoga, pilates, hip hop and stretch and strength. Please check out our classes for a complete list.
Come one, come all! Come check out our new space! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us: info@seasonsfamilycentre.com Looking forward to seeing you all there!
The basement is almost complete, we’re waiting on our wall mirrors to be installed and in the mean time we’re moving onto the art room. The above photograph shows the art room in its very early stage. Below are some photographs of our progress. Can you spot the differences? Stay tuned for more updates!
So there you have it, our beautiful Seasons Studio floor is finished. This picture is just the corner of the room but it really shows off the floor. We’re just waiting on the mirrors to be cut and then the room will be complete (which is extremely exciting). The art room is also slowly coming together…stay tuned for some photographs of the progress.
So, we’re getting there, slowly but surely, one small step at a time. The floors are almost done, stay tuned for the finished pictures. Mirrors and furniture are on the way and soon we will have a functioning, multi-use Seasons Studio! Yay!!
We’re slowly starting to get settled into our new location. After much frustration and aggravation we finally have our phone line in place. The kitchen is almost ready and as for the art room, well that’s definitely got quite a bit of work to be done still. This weekend we are starting to put in the floors for the downstairs studio. Here are some before shots….stay tuned for the after shots. Registrations for Fall are starting to come in, which is very exciting! Register today to guarantee a spot in one of our classes.
Love Local at the Evergreen Brickworks was such a hit! We had lots of fun running our colouring booth and truly enjoyed interacting with such wonderful families. We had tons of kiddies come out and colour while parents got a chance to look at all the amazing merchandise. We were so impressed with the turnout, despite the morning rain and we’re pleased people didn’t let a few little rain drops stop their Love Local experience. Here are some pics from our fun filled day!
Not only will we be offering making minis this year, we’ll also be offering making mini cakes too! If you sign up for our adult baking class you can learn how to make these fantastic, little mini cakes. Not only are they adorable, but they are perfect for one serving size and are great to serve at your next dinner party! One cake’s flowers were made with gumpaste and the other with modelling chocolate. Each has its own benefits however. Gumpaste tends to dry out extremely quickly and will sometimes crack. Gumpaste is often used to make flowers and decorative pieces as it can be rolled out very thin. Modelling chocolate is similar to a clay like substance and is easier to smooth out your seems with. Both are very pliable materials and are fantastic to use for decorating cakes.
On June 4th, 2011 Seasons Family Centre will be hosting a fantastic colouring table at Love Local Show. Wondering what exactly Love Local is? Well Love Local is an unprecedented, one-day, outdoor retail showcase featuring fashion, beauty, art and crafts made and/or designed in Toronto. Love Local takes everything you love about the old-school craft show and transforms it into a cultural boutique event where Torontonians can shop, explore and mingle with local artisans. It will be an amazing event, so come on out, shop around while your kids do some colouring! Visit www.lovelocal.ca for more details.
