So we are almost done our first week of classes and they’ve all been so much fun! Here are some pictures from one of our Preschooler Expressive Art classes. The children were taught about Jackson Pollock and then created masterpieces of their own!

Here are some photographs from our second Media Open House. Alyson Schaferwas our guest speaker and she did an amazing job talking about the importance of learning through play. At Seasons, all our classes are based on learning through play, even the adult ones. We also showcased our Food Art Class and Yoga. Food Art, which is being offered on Saturdays from 1:00-2:00pm for school-agers. Yoga for school-agers is on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm and held Mondays for Teens/Tweens from 4:30-5:30pm. Yes, that’s is right, we have officially finished Seasons Studio! Over the past two months we have transformed this room from its original state to a multi-functioning studio where we run a variety of classes including: tummy time, interactive play, yoga, pilates, hip hop and stretch and strength. Here are some “before and after” shots of Seasons. We’re still waiting on the wall of mirrors for the Seasons Studio but we’re definitely making progress, slowly but surely. Soon we’ll be ready for our grand opening! September 15th, 16th and 17th, we will be hosting our “open house” weekend, so be sure to come by then to see the facilities.
Why not add one more thing to the to do list? Plus this one was a fun craft project, so how could we say no? Initially we wanted to make a life- size tree for the art room but we decided that the smaller size is more appropriate for now. It was difficult to decide what materials to use so that the tree was durable, in the end we went with Scupley. For those of you not familiar with Scupley it’s a pretty amazing clay that is oven baked. We actually use Scupley in all of our Making Minis classes. So here it is, our finished, beautiful Seasons Tree, in all its glory 🙂
The basement is almost complete, we’re waiting on our wall mirrors to be installed and in the mean time we’re moving onto the art room.
